Where to begin
It's amazining how little there is written about the 100th Bat./ 442nd RCT in classroom history books. OK, let's be honest with the puplic/ private school history classes, there isn't a word about them. When I read about the "Gothic Line" in Italy...nothing about the 100th/442nd being there. Dachau and 522nd Field Artillery Battalion....nothing.

So it's a wonder that I found out that I had a cousin (and 2 uncles) who fought for the United States during WWII (my grandfather was in WWI for the USA but that's another story).

Actually, the only reason I ever found out about my cousin was just stumbling upon it when I was at my grandparents place in Honolulu, and then ofcourse everyone said, "Didn't I tell you?" No, like I was suppose to have ESP about these things.

And now that it has been over 50 years since WWII and the veterans are slowing disappearing, stories about them are starting to materialize.

I suppose others are slowly doing the same thing. Good hunting.
